Nursing Internship Programs
Nursing Internships are available to Graduate Nurses or Nurses looking for a change.
Option A: Emergency Nursing Internship
Web-based internship utilizing Emergency Nurses Association program. This is a 12-week program that focuses on:
- Foundations of Emergency Nursing Practice
- Clinical Foundations of Emergency Nursing
- Major Trauma Emergencies
- Medical and Surgical Emergencies
- Special Patient Populations
Four weeks will be in the classroom and eight weeks unit preceptorship. Each day will consist of Web-based instruction and skills practice after the first week of general and nursing orientation.
Option B: TCU/Critical Care Nursing Internship
Web-based internship utilizing Florida Hospital’s Echelon CCN program. This is a 12-week program that prepares nurses for either step-down or critical care nursing. This course incorporates a system approach that includes:
- Cardiovascular
- Renal
- Neurologic
- Hematologic
- Pulmonary
- Hepatic
- Endocrine
- Integumentary
- GI/GU
- Special Populations
Four weeks will be in the classroom and eight weeks of unit preceptorship. Each day will consist of Web-based instruction and skills practice after the first week of general and nursing orientation.
