Orientation
General
General orientation is conducted once a month and is a day and a half in length. Orientation usually begins on a Monday and is completed by noon on Tuesday. Topics covered include

- Safety
- HIPAA
- Communication
- Corporate Compliance
- Employee Health
- Bioterrorism
- Emergency Preparedness Plan
- SHARE Program
Float nursing staff only attend the second morning of general orientation and must complete nursing orientation.
Nursing
Nursing orientation is conducted twice a month and covers computer training, equipment, policies and procedures, competency testing and interfaces staff with other departments such as laboratory, cardiopulmonary, pharmacy and rehabilitation services.
