Rehabilitation Center

MetroFlex Outpatient Rehabilitation and MetroKids Pediatric Rehabilitation have consolidated to make room for the new Center for Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine - opening at the end of 2008. The combined pediatric and adult clinics are now Metroplex Health System Rehabilitation Center. The center offers the following for children and adults:

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy focuses on physical, cognitive, sensory or motor deficits to master the skills needed for self-care, work and leisure.

Physical Therapy

Physical Therapists strive to restore the client's mobility and function to the highest level possible while maintaining their dignity and restoring their confidence.

Speech Therapy

Speech-Language Pathologists work with patients who are suffering from speech or language deficits resulting from head injuries, strokes and other anomalies.

Aquatics

This custom-designed therapeutic pool is a beneficial form of therapy that is useful for a variety of medical conditions to assist in patient healing and exercise performance.

Stroke Rehab

Rehabilitation helps stroke survivors relearn skills that are lost when part of the brain is damaged. Even though rehabilitation does not "cure" stroke, in that it does not reverse brain damage, rehabilitation can substantially help people achieve the best possible long-term outcome.

Sports Medicine

Sports medicine specializes in preventing, diagnosing and treating injuries related to participating in sports and/or exercise, specifically the rotation or deformation of joints or muscles caused by engaging in such physical activities.

Manual Therapy

Manual Therapy encompasses the treatment of health ailments of various etiologies through “hands-on”, physical intervention. Physical treatments include massage, soft tissue mobilization, various connective tissue techniques and more.

Although the two forces have combined, services have not changed. Sessions are still one-on-one for children and separate from adult therapy.

The new center is located at 2300 S. Clear Creek Road, Suite 102 in Killeen. The hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The phone number is 254.554.2637.
