The Sue Mayborn Women’s Center at Metroplex has been nearly 30 years in the making. With a grand opening on August 5, 2009, our goal is to meet the demands of rapid population growth in West Bell, Coryell and Lampasas counties by consolidating and coordinating women's health services into one convenient area while also improving patient comfort, aesthetics and work flow. In addition to inpatient services, the Women's Center also promotes wellness and prevention.

In July 2008, the U.S. Census Bureau listed Killeen as the second fastest growing city in the state and the sixth fastest growing city in the nation. By 2020, Bell County’s population is predicted to grow by 54%. Metroplex must continue to grow to meet the increased healthcare needs for all women.
