Special Services

Morning Prayer Services

Employees, patients and physicians are invited to join the daily devotional from 8:30 to 8:45 a.m. in the Metroplex Chapel. Join us as we lift up your loved one with the healing power of prayer.

Bible Study

Employees, patients and physicians are invited to join the Bible study group at noon every Monday. This is open to all and gives the opportunity to study and explore themes from the Bible and an opportunity for prayer.

Week of Spiritual Emphasis

One week is set aside each spring and fall to emphasize our spirituality. The week features guest speakers presenting devotionals on the various themes. This is a rich worship experience and is open to all who wish and are able to attend. There is music, scripture reading, prayer and Holy Communion.

Special Services

Services are also provided at all major holiday times, including:

  • Christmas
  • New Year’s
  • Easter

The services provide the chance for spiritual renewal for all that attend.

Grief Recovery

In the spring and fall, we provide a “Grief Recovery Seminar.” The goal of the seminar is to provide a safe place to learn how to cope with personal grief through loss and separation. The seminar runs one day per week for five weeks. This seminar is community-oriented but is open to all.

Smoking Cessation

During the winter, we run a nine-session “Breathe Free” program to stop smoking. The program runs three weeks and each session builds on the one before and prepares the person for the next step in becoming a non-smoker. Therefore, attendance at all nine sessions is important for success. This program is open to all. For information, call the Wellness Department at (254) 519-8200.

Other services

The hospital actively supports the Greater Killeen Free Clinic and the Killeen Exchange Club. Both of these venues provide direct help to the community.
