Take an hour out of your day to save a life. The pint of blood you give can help a trauma victim; a person who is receiving an organ transplant; or someone with severe anemia, cancer or another illness.
Each donated pint can help save up to three lives.
The procedure is safe - the needles and bags are used only once. It takes about an hour and starts with a miniphysical and health history. You must be at least 16 years old (with a consent form from a parent/guardian), weigh at least 110 pounds and pass certain health requirements to qualify.
