Patient Testifies to Great Service at Home Care of Metroplex
KILLEEN – When Copperas Cove business owner Larry Letzer’s motorcycle fell on him and broke his leg and ankle, he was not too worried about his recovery.
“I have been around Metroplex a long time,” Letzer testified. “I am very pleased with my experience there in the past and now with Home Care of Metroplex.”
Letzer said he was never confused about the treatment he was receiving for his wounds. “They explained everything thoroughly. I knew what to expect with each step in my healing process,” he said.
The physical therapist from Home Care not only explained the procedures Letzer should take in his healing process, but he also demonstrated all the exercise routines to assure Letzer did them correctly. “The clinical support in my own home was amazing,” Letzer expressed. “I knew about Home Care, I just did not know the extent of it. I was very impressed with the services.”
Letzer also testified to the great support and encouragement that was given to him by the Metroplex team in his five weeks of recovery. “I’m sure I would not have gotten through this as smoothly and quickly as I did without the support of Home Care.”
November is National Home Care Month
Home Care of Metroplex is a team of professionally trained medical experts who work closely with the physicians to develop an individual plan of care and patient education tailored to the patient’s needs. The staff understands the conflicting need for independence and the limitations of illness, and teaches you how to function best at home.

“Home Care has many advantages,” explained Karen Voegele, Director of Home Care of Metroplex. “Our services offer more privacy in your recovery process, may reduce the length of your hospital stay and provides the opportunity for family members to participate in your care.”
Home Care of Metroplex accepts referrals from patients, friends, family, physicians, nursing homes, rehab centers and hospitals. The facility is licensed by the State of Texas, certified by Medicare and JCAHO accredited. Service area includes Bell, Coryell and Lampasas counties. If eligible through Medicare, 100% of your skilled services are covered.
“We will work with you to determine the maximum level of coverage you are eligible for and bill the organization directly,” Voegele said. Home Care accepts most private insurance companies as well as Medicare, Medicaid and private pay.
