Metroplex Annual Silver Classic 5K Run & Walk Set March 1
KILLEEN — Lace up your best walking/running shoes – Silver Classic is approaching quickly. Each year, the Metroplex Wellness Department hosts the Classic for runners and walkers of all ages. Entry fee for Metroplex Health System employees and active-duty military is $15, all others $20. Employees and military participants must show ID day of race.
Check-in and late registration begins at 7:15 a.m. on March 1. The race will begin at 8:30 a.m. in front of Metroplex Adventist Hospital at 2201 S. Clear Creek Road in Killeen.
The Silver Classic is part of the Cen-Tex Race Series and is a chip-timed event. The 3.1 mile race around Metroplex Adventist Hospital and Central Texas College promotes community wellness in Central Texas. The annual event offers free body mass index (BMI), free breakfast, race T-shirts, goody bags and door prizes to participants.
All proceeds benefit the Wellness Department which offers numerous wellness activities, including health classes, screenings and programs throughout the community.
