Volunteering for Metroplex Health System

In Spring 1979, the Metroplex Health System Volunteer Program was established to assist in the execution of the new community hospital for Coryell, Bell and Lampasas counties.

As a Metroplex Health System Volunteer, you will help build a better Central Texas through a stronger community. The Metroplex volunteer group includes over 100 volunteers, ranging from 14 to 90 years old and consisting of 13 nationalities of civilians and service members. 

There are many fun and rewarding positions within the Health System available to willing people:

  • Couplet Care (mother and newborn) 
  • Information Desk 
  • Registration 
  • Same-Day Surgery 
  • Nutrition Services
  • Emergency Room
  • Nursing Stations on each floor
  • Gift Shop
  • Patient Education
  • Imaging Services
  • Transport Shuttle
  • Mail Services
  • Wellness Services

Profits from volunteer services go toward scholarships in the community, advancement of medical equipment and many other seasonal and patient-assistance programs.
